- Basic Carpet Science
Carpet featured in this website has been designed
primarily for Hospitality applications. We manufacture our products for
performance by tufting dense constructions utilizing state of the art
equipment and by using superior durable yarns. Most of our products are
tufted from our 1/10 gauge broadloom tufting machines using continuous
filament solution dyed nylon yarns and are finished with ActionBac®
secondary backing.

- Secondary
Backing Systems & Their Applications for Hospitality
Action-Bac® is a synthetic polypropylene fabric that, by applying latex, is
laminated to tufted carpet's primary backing during the finishing process to
provide a stable secondary backing. It is hospitality's standard for secondary
backings for stretch-in installations over separate pad/cushion for "rooms"
carpeting. The combination of carpet and separate cushion is best suited to
rooms carpeting because these areas must have maximum comfort underfoot.

- Selecting Hotel
Carpet by Construction
The look of a particular carpet is determined by its
construction, which may be loop, cut, or
combinations. In corridors, lobbies, offices,
classrooms, hotel rooms, patient care, and other
public areas, loop piles of low, dense construction,
tend to retain appearance and resiliency and,
generally, provide a better surface for the rolling
traffic of wheel chairs or food carts. Cut pile or
cut and loop pile carpets are very good choices for
administration areas, libraries, individual offices
and boardrooms.
